Export Captions as an SRT File
You can now export your captions as an SRT (SubRip Subtitle) file directly from SignCaption. SRT files are one of the most widely supported subtitle formats and can be used with video editing software, video hosting platforms, learning management systems, and other accessibility tools.
What is an SRT File?
An SRT file is a subtitle file that contains:
- Caption text
- Start and end timestamps
- Subtitle sequence numbers
SRT files do not contain video content. Instead, they can be uploaded alongside a video to display captions on supported platforms.
How to Export an SRT File
- Open your completed SignCaption project.
- Review and edit your captions as needed.
- Click Download.
- Select SRT File from the download options.
- The SRT file will download to your device.
Your SRT file is now ready to be uploaded to supported platforms or imported into your preferred video editing software.
